Scroll Saw Recommendation For School

A friend on mine teaches middle school shop. He needs to replace two scroll saws. it would cost him $100 each to replace the motors on his current ones. What's the best choice keeping in mind tight school budgets. He needs durability and ease of blade change. I don't know what he is currently using. Thanks in advance for your input.

DW 788 but... the $100 motor change would be the ticket if he has quality scroll-saws on hand. If they are junk... they are junk with or without a motor. But...why throw away a quality one that was meant to last when it only needs a motor. And you mention tight budget and that should suggest that also, IMO.
