Can I switch from McCloskeys to Cabbot varnish mid job?

Cabot 8000 series varnish (not polyurethane) is said to be the same as McCloskey Heirloom, since Cabot bought McCloskey. Even if not, if you let the varnish cure a bit longer and give it a good scuff sanding you would be very unlikely to have any problems with switching among different oil based varnishes.
