Has anyone seen/used the solid wood laminated boards that Lowes sells in various widths and lengths. I thought they could be used for paint grade raise panel doors. Any thoughts/comments appreciated.
Thank you,

I have a very large CNC cut logo of my home bar that was made from one. It seems to be OK stuff but I am not a fan of pine for paint grade because of the necessity to seal the knots and the overall soft nature of the wood.

This may not apply depending on the look you are after. If I was going to paint it anyway I would skip the frame and use the "raised panel look" router bits on a solid panel of MDF.

I used one of these for the back of a cabinet I was making. I looked at it funny, and it split -- right down one of the laminations. I would think long and hard about using one again.
Cheers,
