Had a late Christmas with my family in Texas. These are some of the gifts I gave to them. It was really gratifying to give them something I had made. The bowl was a small walnut (I think) piece that was given to me.

Very nice work John! Really like the two curly pens on the right side of the first photo! I'm sure there had to have been some really happy family members when they received these as gifts! Thanks for sharing!

Top notch work John. I'm sure your family will enjoy them. I like the bowl. What finish did you use on everything?

The wood cigar pens are finished with CA. The one in the middle is dk. lace sheoak and the end ones are birds eye maple. The bowl and slimlines are finished with deft. Slimlines are red mallee burl, birds eye maple, bacote and brazilian rosewood. Thanks for the comments. John

Nice gifts and unlike the rest of us, you had 13 months to prepare... but wait...that means you only have 11 months for 2009:eek:!

John, Wonderful gifts! I love to see a big group of pens like that, it kind of reminds me of a bunch of soldiers going of to battle! Keep up the good work!

Jeff
