these are a few turnings that I finished to day. one is wild cherry, the other small one is pecan and the tall one is spalted tallow. the pictures are very bad. Im trying to learn how to take better pics but as you can tell it aint working yet........comments, criticisms welcome

Looks good Dave,
I really like the cherry; looks like it's from a burl maybe, with all that swirling grain and I notice what looks to be some filler in those cracks..nice job on them all.

Nice collection---I like the tallow it's "different"---that's meant in a good way.

Nice work on everything David! Really like the cherry! Photography can be a major challenge when trying to do our turnings justice! Do a few searches here on the subject of photography as there is a lot of info available!

Nice job with all the turnings, photos are getting there, better than some. Is that one of the 16" variable speed grizz lathes in your avatar? If so how do you like it??

Nice bowls. I go with the cherry as best of the three. I have to ask, sorry, but is wild cherry any different than orchard cherry? Come on, I'm serious.:o

this was a burl off of a tree in south carolina from my dads property and he called it a wild cherry.. I guess its just a cherry tree... not sure
