Grizzzzly 's new lathe?G0694 20" x 43"

Any one buy one yet? very interested in it. i bought there 21 " band saw and was very happy and impressed with it's performance and build quality. just wondering if any one jumped in on there new 20" lathe. would love to hear feed back. At the moment i have a old and dependable (yet under powerered) delta 3/4 hp v.s. 12" lathe, but feel like i need to upgrade. i was pondering the thought of increasing the motor size and adding a inverter along with a larger motor that i already have handy in addition to increasing it to 16" with spacers,,,, seems like a lot of work for something i may or may not be happy with in the end,,,,,,your thoughts are welcomed.

Some one has confirmed at other forum that this G0694 doesn't have a through hole on the head stock spindle. You can't use a knock out bar, no through spindle vacuum chucking.

I have serious doubt about whether the lathe designers / engineers know what they are doing.


Buy your band saw, jointer from Grizzly, but lathes.
