Small gloat

Hey gang,
I received my Doug Thompson 1/2" V Gouge yesterday and made a Cherry and Maple handle for it tonight. Overall 26" Handle 18". Boy do I like it. Thanks, Doug for shipping so fast.

Nice gloat, I have several of Dougs tools now and I dont think I will ever buy anything else. Ive been using the 5/8 V gouge for roughing out 15" maple blanks prior to coring them and the gouge just chews through it like nothing. Im actually able to take a deeper cut with less strain on the lathe now and I chalk it up to he superior edge these tools have and keep.

Nice handle work. I have to say, my Thompson 1/2" V is absolutely my weapon of choice for shaping and final cuts on all bowl work. Enjoy!

Nice. Those are great tools. I've got 4 more Thompsons on the way right now too. They will be taking my Thompson collection up to 7. I need to get to work on the handles soon.

Congrats on the tool. I have both the 1/2" V and U pluse 2 spindle gouges. Love them.
