I’ve owed the Digital Angle Gauge for over a year now. I’m very happy with it but the one problem I always have is with removing the battery door. I turn it and it stops, I try pushing in, still no luck in opening it. I have to spend about 10 minutes to get it open, every time when it finally drops off I have no clue as to what I did different to release it.

Anyone else with this issue?

Yes, I have ti remove the battery each time after I use it to preserve battery life and it is a pain.

I use pin pliers in the little holes.

I just tried Joe's method and all I can say is;....Joe, you da man! Works like a charm.

Dollar Tree stores often have the SR 2032 lithium batteries on a card of three for a buck. Stock up when you find them, as they don't always stock them.

Here's (http://www.dealextreme.com/products.dx/category.400) a deal on 20 of those 2032 batteries for $3.67 delivered. Takes a couple of weeks for them to arrive but for the price the wait is worth it.

I received one of these angle gauges for xmas. I like it a lot. Haven't had to change the battery yet but have one complaint. (off topic) When setting the bevel angle on my table saw, it tells you the exact angle on top of the blade rather than underneath the blade. i.e. if you want a 26 degree bevel you have to do the math and set it to 64 degrees. It seems they could run a short program to calculate the math automatically or with the push of a button. Am I just lazy or am I missing something?
