Delta Drill Press Depth Stop

I have a DP, don't know the model offhand and I am at work so I can't check. It has the collar with the ball you can press to move the stop quickly. The problem is that if you aren't carefull when you feed you can actually make the stop move and then you are too deep. Has anyone subsitituted the old style spin down depth stop for one of there?
