I've just completed the lower cabinets of an entertainment center I'm building. It's always a thrill to draw up the designs and then bring it to reality. Base is painted poplar with a cherry top. Blum Tandem Blumotion slides worked out great. Butt hinges with less than a 16th of an inch reveal around doors. I designed it using four separate carcasses, using face frame construction. Cherry knobs provide a nice complement to the cherry top. Half-blind dovetails front and back on drawers. I used my Incra system rather than by hand (wanted to complete the project as fast as possible with other projects waiting). So far I like the results of the Incra better than the D4R jig. I will begin designing the upper cabinets next.
