Anyone build this type of drill press table? I like how it has a vertical and horizontal section. (Picture from Woodcraft (http://www.woodcraft.com/product.aspx?ProductID=817560&FamilyID=60330)).

Thoughts and comments?

Wow, I like to also. I could add that vertical section what I presently have I think. Great idea. Doesn't look very difficult. Post a picture when you've completed it. Vince

Yep, that's the one I'm going to build if I ever get around to it. I have the plans from one of those special Wood Magazine shop jig issues. Currently you can buy the plan directly from Wood (http://www.woodstore.net/drilprestab.html)for cheaper than the Woodcraft price. I definitely like the vertical clamping feature.

I had a manual jig that basically did the same thing. However, I found out that there was a lot of flex because you are basically supporting the work piece at the edge of the manfucturer's drill press table as it is rotated to the side. And, the slight flex can really translate into center point movement of where you want to drill.

The next vertical drilling jig will go directly to the base. The table will only be used for side to side alignment.
