Mesquite lidded box

Mesquite and osage orange. 7 1/2" x 3". Waterlox and Beall buffed.

I added the osage orange ring because I'm intrigued by the similarity in color of osage orange and the sapwood of mesquite.
(You probably thought I did it because I screwed up.) :D

Really nice Chuck. I hope to cut some more mesquite in the next few weeks and will plan to bring you somemore next time we come to Tennessee.
I got a electric frying pan like yours and have started melting wax to put on the end of fresh cut wood.

Tom I have really enjoyed that mesquite. I don't think there is any wood I enjoy more. Maybe partly the scent. It reminds me of our days in Arizona eating steaks at Pinnacle Peak Patio. Look forward to your next visit.
