Is there a clear alternative to Anchorseal that will work as good? I want to coat burls and burl blanks but I want customers to be able to see the grain when I sell them. I know Woodcraft uses a clear wax but I am not sure what it's called or if it works as good. Thanks!

Anchorseal made in both clear and colored versions.

Jon,
I've only used Green Wood Sealer from Craft Supplies (I guess Craft USA now); it might actually be the same thing as Anchorseal under a different name. It dries relatively clear, but with measurable thickness, which is what you want. It's transparent enough to read the grain.

The Anchorseal I have goes on white but is clear when dry....
