Antler/Aluminum Arrow Shaft Pen

I was turning a few Patriot pens the other evening & decided to play around with some of my pen parts. This is what I came up with. I hollowed out one end of the antler pen shaft just a little bit. This way the aluminum arrow shaft could slide down inside of the antler. One of teachers that I work with already decided she wants one for a gift, so I guess I will make a few more up.

Billy, I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I was going to cast the arrow shaft in clear acrylic to give me some thickness to work with and let the camo show through. I bought the casting resin but have not got to it yet! Your pen gives be the boost to start!
