So I'm making a cell phone, wallet, misc valet for my father. Using Jatoba for the first time and used a very thin applicaiton of BLO and wiped off any excess (barely any) within a minute or two. 24 hours later, the BLO is not completely dry and the wood looks somewhat "blotchy" (very small blotches), in particual around the open pores where I'm guessing more BLO was absorbed than other areas.
Two questions:
Will the "blotchy" look go away as this completely dries?
How long should I expect this to take to dry? It's in a 68 degree and 25% rel. hum. environment.
I planeed on a few coats of shellac after the BLO, but I'm thinking this is at least a week out based on what I've seen in 24 hours.
Any help is appreciated.
