Any fellow creekers going to the woodworking show at the Big E this weekend (1/9-11)? Was wondering if it's worthwhile making the trip.

Didn't realize it was this weekend! I think I might have to head out Saturday for a few hours assuming the schedule master in my life doesn't already have us booked for something.

I'll be going. I'll be there Friday as there are a few seminars that seemed to be interesting, so I signed up.

Have been to a few, to me it was not worth it, even though it's only 15 minutes away. In the past it has proven to be a pretty small setup, with very few manufacturers, mostly resellers like Woodcraft.

I was planning on it until my wife reminded me it was her birthday. Oops.

I offered to get tickets for two, until she reminded her we have a two year old.:D

I told her kids go for free, but she wouldn't budge. Something about 6 hours at a woodworking show chasing a two year old that didn't appeal to her?

The web site doesn't list many vendors of interest to me particularly but there are several hands on seminars of interest, most notably Garett Hack and Peter Gedrys. Mr. Hack's seminar on beading and inlays using shop made scratch stocks is of particular interest to me, but it seems not in my futire.

Have fun if you go.
