I have a Delta 1.5 hp Unisaw from the 1980's when they were still made in the USA. I put one of Lee's splitters on it and picked up a Bies Fence when Lowes was clearing them out a year or so ago.
For X-Mas my wife got me the Delta Overarm Guard. However, Delta indicates I need a different rear rail to install it with the Bies Fence. However, I read somewhere on the net a while back that folks were flipping the mounting brackets for the Delta Overarm Guard over and drilling new holes (in the brackets? or the rail?) and using the Bies rear rail with no issues. I don't want to have to remove the rear rail and buy a new Delta rail for $60 if I can use the Bies rear rail since it is a nice sturdy 90 degree angle. Has anyone here installed the Delta Overarm Guard using the Bies rear rail or knows where I could find out how others have done it?
Thanks,
Ken
