Hi everyone.
I just finished my kid's play table.

Some of you might know about this from the finishing forum. This was the first time I used brightly colored dyes in sprayed water-based laquer. I think it turned out OK--it looks very different at various times of day. I like that the grain patterns still shows through.
The tabletop's sides are dadoed and just slip around the table top, dovetailed in the corners. Eventually, when Ray outgrows it as a play table, I can knock the sides off and he'll have a funky colored coffee table.

The table was built to hold a play mat I purchased. Next I'll build a bunch of houses for this scene.
