Dahl - I guess it all depends on what it is you want to sharpen with it. If you are looking for a way to sharpen turning tools - then I would suggest this: http://www.woodcraft.com/product.aspx?ProductID=144290&FamilyID=4605

It goes on sale quite often for around $75 to $80 if I remember correctly and it comes with the wheels you would need for turning.

Just something for you to think about.

I bought the HF grinder the day I bought their set of lathe tools. When I got home and plugged it in, the wheels wobbled so much that I knew that it wouldn't be any good to use to get a good edge. I immediately took it back and went to Woodcraft to get their grinder.

You get what you pay for. Some of their tools are alright while the others useless.

I just bought this one last night http://www.toolking.com/steelcity_15420.aspx. The reviews sounded good and it comes with a diamond dresser. Shipping was $10.00.
