Found a Delta Dust Collector Mod: 50-901 locally for $500.00.

Never been used, (new) lacks only the tripod legs (stand)..lost somewhere. Item is listed on several sites for 2400---2700. 1800 cfm, 220 volt SF

Anyone have experience with this model? Is this a good deal?

I really need a good dust collector.

Maybe it doesn't exist (http://www.deltaportercable.com/Search.aspx?query=50-901)?
Might recheck that model number?

Yep, there it is alrighty.
I wonder why Delta comes up empty when search on their site? I've seen this before.
Now, I have to ask, why consider this over something like an Onieda (http://www.oneida-air.com/gorilla_3hp.php), or other cyclonic DC's?
The filtering isn't all that great at 5 microns (comparitively speaking).
I'm not discouraging you, just wondering.

It could be the $500 vs. $2500 thing :D.

Art,
You should be able to either make the stand yourself, our else order it from Delta. Give it a go, what the heck. You can retrofit a sweet 1 micron cartridge filter to that puppy and have a nice set up for not that much money.

That would definitely do it for me:D
For the $2000 in savings I could have a local artist create a real nice drawing of a cyclone and hang it in front if that would make everyone happy and still have a few bucks for some java left. ;)
