Setting up DVD program

Hello all..... Happy New Year. I have Windows XP on my computer & have 3 different programs to play dvd's. How do you set one to be the default player. All 3 start at the same time & I want to just have 1 start when the dvd is inserted. Any help would be appreciated....

Why not remove two of the applications? Choose the one you like the best...

Otherwise, Windows is supposed to only have one applications "primary" for a given file type. It sounds like your three applications are somehow overriding that, so check in each for "preferences" settings that make that application think it's primary.

I'm on my Mac at home right now, so I cannot check to be positive of the wording for the PC. But if you right click on the file and get the info, there should be a setting for what program opens the file and then a checkbox to open all files of that type with that program.
