I have a couple gallons of "store catalyzed" lacquer, ML Campbell Magna Max I believe, that is about to "expire" (120 day shelf life after being catalyzed at the store). This is left over from my second foray into spraying lacquer and I WAY over purchased for this project.

What happens after it expres? Can it be "re-catalyzed"? Can it be used as is but perhaps is just not quite as durable? Or maybe it won't even harden after it expires?

This stuff was expensive so I hate to see it go to waste, any suggestions/thoughts?

Many thanks!
Kim

The lacquer will harden in the can is is your risk...

To my knowledge there is no way so save it if I was you I would use it quickly or give it to a friend.

Let me know if you need a friend...hahahahah

You may have some leeway on the time but generally not a lot. You can always take some out and spray it, if I sprays normal and hardens you should be fine.

I would try to find a use for it ASAP or it is likely to become unusable before long.
