Can anyone out there who owns a Bosch 1590 Jig saw clue me in? I just bought one on Ebay but it has no documentation or owners manuals, Nada. I have a few questions about some of the controls if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated, I'm brand new to the forum and a novice wood worker, with a great desire to learn.

Thanks,

Dale

You can download it from the bosch website - lower right on the page has the link: http://www.boschtools.com/Products/Tools/Pages/BoschProductDetail.aspx?pid=1590EVSK

Most manufacturers post pdf files of their various manuals on their website. It's saved me a number of times.

I tell you one thing Dale... right under the Festool this may very well be the best saw on the market. You are going to love it.

Make sure next time you are at the BORG you pick up a set of Xtra Clean blades. The thing cuts like butter and very little vibration.

Dewey is it normal for a few sparks to fly behind the blade when youre cutting really tight circles?

Thanks Dewey, What is the Borg and are xtra clean bldes a brand?

BORG is Big Orange Box or Home Depot. Not sure about HD havng the Extra Clean Cut blades yet but.. Lowe's does. I purchased a 5 pack about two weeks ago and they are the cleanest cutting jig saw blade I have ever seen. And that is coming from someone that has used Bosch blades in my barrel grip for many years.

BTW.. in another post... sparks behind the blade in a very tight turn?

If the wood is scorching I would say maybe.. but I would check to see if you see sparks back there on a straight cut. If you are... find the exact source and call Bosch Tech. Hopefully it's from friction in the tight turn.

Sarge..

On the spark,
You either have the wrong blade for the cut or you are simply turning too tight. The thing is not a scroll saw and has limitations on radius.

It has precision control which I normally keep locked in place to reduce deflection. I would bet that is where your sparks are coming from. It is simply a blade guide that "clamps the blade"

John is partially correct on the BORG but is can also stand for Big Old Retail Giant (IE Lowes or HD). I have seen the blades at both stores since Christams.

I still use it all the time.
