I just purchased a Alltel wireless card for my laptop. It works very well in my shop that is wood frame with wood siding. When I try to use it in the house it fails to work. The house is wood frame with brick exterior. Is there a device that I can get to boost the signal in the house? The shop and house are about 40 feet apart.
Thanks in advance.

Unless you absolutely must have the portablility of the card, I'd take it back, tell them it doesn't work in your house, and you want your money back. Then get something else.

I had a sprint card for a year and a half. Too expensive, too slow, and I didn't make use of out of the house as much as I thought I would.

Check out www.3gstore.com (http://www.3gstore.com). I got an outside antenna from them that really improved my signal strength.

If 3G is all you can get, its a lifesaver. Way better than satellite.

Will try a exterior antenna. We cannot get high speed any other way. We live in an area thatwill not get high speed. Building a lake for water supply and will not build any more homes.
Thanks
