Yep, it would be a super mess (and significant loss of life) is it really was to blow. Maybe it'll just be some earthquake activity and then quiet down. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Apparently, the increased quake activity has been going on for a while now. I remember reading about it a little while back (week or two).

The last thing I saw on it, said it was either past due, or due, depending on who you listened to.
It will blow, the question is when and to what magnitude. I would prefer a much smaller release of pressure, which I hope the earthquakes are doing, rather then the large blowout that was talked about (on the show I saw).

What I wondered (and never saw) was how long after an eruption, (massive one) did the New Madrid fault go off?

I saw a show on that last night. If it goes on schedule, as far as past history, we still have 100,000 years or so to go.

Yes it will.

Either today or sometime in the next 10,000 years.

We are fairly insignificant in comparison to the powers of nature. All the predictions and whatnot are scientific guesses at best.

It will be a big mess if we are still around when it does.
