Here is a maple vase I turned also that wanted to crack as I was turning. When the lathe was stopped I could hear it pop. I filled the cracks with sanding dust and 5 minute epoxy. Still came out pretty nice. It is 6" tall by 5 1/2" across. Has two coats of Antique oil on it. One more coat then will let cure for a week and buff.

Really like this one Bernie! Curly end-grain - just beautiful! Sure would like to see it once it is buffed! Nice work!

Another nice one. Very smooth curvature from the shoulder to the base. Easier said than done.

Thanks again. This one was a challenge to as it was cracking as I turned it. So far I have just put the 3 coat of antique oil on and it is still holding. Will let it dry now for a week or so and buff.

Thanks. Yes I will post after it is buffed. I kinda want to put a matte type buff on it. Hope it takes.
