Stands about 3 1/2 in tall and about 7 1/2 in wide. Sanded to 12000 grit with Deft spray on laquer then buffed with carnuba wax. Comments welcome.

Nice bowl Shane! I love the rich color of the wood! I like the slight ogee shape to the bowl and the flat rim - good combination! Keep up the good work!

Great looking bowl out of some nice wood. Very nice form. Love turning mesquite.

Nice grain in this one and good form I think. Never had any mesquite other than smoking chips for the grill but would love to try some. Good job!!

Nice bowl Shane. Am curious why you sanded so fine. There is little to be gained by sanding a bowl beyond 600, and many folks stop at 400 or even 320. Have read that the "scratches" left by 400 paper are finer than can be resolved by the human eye.

No reason really. I had those micro sanding pads that I use when finishing pens just thought I would try it.
