View Full Version : Is it too late for a small Christmas Gloat?

My kids looked at my wish list and bought me a Beall Digital Angle gauge. When I got home I took it to the shop and started checking set ups. My TS blade was right on 90. I had set it by eye with a plastic drafting triangle. The face of my tenon cutter jig was off about 2.4 degrees, which was enough to be noticeable. I haven't checked the jointer or the band saw yet. I think I'm going to like having it in the shop.

Lee -
I got one of those, too. What a cool tool.
My TS (PM66) blade was at 90.1° and 44.8°. Guess I need to tweak the stops just a touch. The jointer (Steel City 8" w/ granite fence) was 90° the entire length of the fence. Haven't checked the other tools yet. Wonder what it will say against the Incra machinists square?
Regards,
Ted

Here you go Jim, here's the proof of both the gloat and the angle of the saw blade to the table.
I checked my jointer and the fence is 90 degrees the full length to both tables. I also used it to set the angle for my TS cut raised panels and it was perfectly in agreement with the cad drawing I made. I think, I'm gong to like having this angle gauge in the shop.

Maybe I should read the manual but I've never thought about this use.

I've had my Wixey for many months. Use it all the time on everything. Nice tool to have.

I think it was WoodCraft that had the Wixey's on sale for 27.95
