My friend (the adhesives distributor) asked for a pen for his appointment book. I figure since he's given me about 30 oz of CA in the last couple of years the least I a can do is make him a pen or five.

After talking to him about different qualities of different woods, he decided on apple. Bill at my local Woodcraft suggested a slimline copper kit. Sounded good to me.

Here it is, sanded to 600 with a CA finish. Couldn't use anything else for a CA Rep :) It's a little proud of the metal by the nib and the band, but it feels good in the hand.

Sorry for the rushed/crappy pics.

That is a beauty. The copper and wood go well together.

Good looking pen Scott! Like the copper/light colored wood combination! I am sure the pen will be appreciated! Nice work!

Very nice.

I have two chunks of spalted apple burl waiting for me to learn how to turn something nice.
