Birthday gift...

Since it's hubby's 70th birthday Sunday I decided to make him something. He's got enough bowls, so I made him a cane out of african mahogany. He likes a stout stick so he should like this. Both canes I've made him now have had a 'snake' theme :rolleyes: One thing I learned turning this was to buy ALL parts for a kit from one place. I bought the parts to make a sectioned cane elsewhere. So the handle wasn't compatible. I learned how to sloooooooooooooowly turn a long unsupported spindle :o Live and learn I guess....
