In my spare time (don't ask me how I manage any :) ) I made some items from a short spalted maple log my SIL found on the side of the highway. It was extremely dry and I had to soak the blanks for several days using the old LDD trick. In an effort to use all the wood possible I made 3 bowls, a goblet, and 6 pen blanks (still have 5 blanks to use).

Nice stuff, I really like the way you sign your items. Note to all, SIGN your work no initials, if this turning was in my collection in 30yrs I wouldn't remember who "K.S" is but I will remember who "Ken Salisbury" is. :D This is a lecture we get at our club meetings about three times a year, right Jim :D
