Just for giggles...
Had some IPI plastic (yes they have improved thier plastic and it's cheaper than Romark - so I use it in large run senarios for this fella) taped to a plastic coated door using JDS's Premium Gold Bond tape.
Well, here's the results... No damage to the 1/16th inch IPI, tape gave a little off the back of the IPI - had to be forcefully removed, but the door - didn't fair so well....
It's more fun destroying things sometimes than making things.... Glad this was at customer's expense. I always tell them that with the 3/4" tape I use, you only get one shot at it... he wanted to change the piece of plastic - I explained I wouldn't be responsible for the result of removing the plastic - to the door or the plastic - he didn't mind because he figured (as I did) the IPI would give first..... There was only three strips of 3/4 tape the length of the door. Now - I've got a big piece of MDF door to play with - the rest of the plastic came off with little effort....
