Legacy Planeworks?

Figures, I just hear about this company and they are going out of business. Dec 30 is the last day they will operate, and there are some good deals on shoulder plane kits to be had, it appears.

Anybody have any feedback on these? May buy one if they are ok.

Someone on another forum said, "Legacy helped fill the void left by Shepherd Tools, and was an important toolmaker in its own right." But I don't know what that says about the quality of their tools.

Well Bill, there are four kits on the bay, ending in the next 24 hrs, and I decided to throw a bid out there for a 1" kit. Always wanted to try a Shepherd kit, then they went away, so figured maybe I out to try this one or I might not get another chance. We'll see how the auction goes, but maybe...
