Yeah, I know - no pics. Christmas claimed both sets of rechargeable batteries for the camera, and I forgot to recharge.

I was turning a handle for a vintage slick chisel I got for cheap. Decided to use cherry since I have several 8/4 cutoffs from the bed I'm making for my son. The end of this board had wormholes, cracks and some rot - it just looked nasty in general. So I cut it off to use the "good" part for the bed.

Turns out the "bad" part was curly all they way through. Not incredibly dense curl, but pretty nice, and it's visible the whole length of the 20" stick I turned. I was able to get two other 2x2 sticks out of the remainder. Might have to see what I can get out of the really cracked parts. Maybe some pen blanks...

I'll post pics when I'm done. Now I have to go grab a shower - the neighbors are coming over to watch a movie. Drat.

Looking forward to the photos as I love cherry - especially curly cherry!
