Box 3

Third box I made. Dovetails, groove, jointing, and stock dimensioning done by hand. 45° profile done by router, thickness planned by planer, and panel raised by job site saw.

  1. Profile made using job site saw.

  2. Front. Very happy how keyhole came out.

  3. Band added to make purple top feel like part of box.

  4. Dovetails. They came out okayish. Glued in wedges to hide gap.

  5. Shelve supports. I intended to have only the top one. Oriented one board incorrectly and ended up with one at bottom as well. Decided to keep it...

  6. Tray. The purple area will eventually have some text engraved burned in.
