Clyde and Dale are kicking up so much dust that it's hard to see their patent leather and fur hoof-shoes ! Needed sign : Parents , Make sure your kids know the horses contain NO COTTON CANDY!!
I think Clyde and Dale are my favorites of the group. All show a fine imagination.
My Dad and I decided to use basswood for our Clydesdale animal so we can control the color and not have any wood grain showing. There is a substantial amount of shaping on the Clydesdale as well so basswood makes that job a little easier. I hope to be able to find real horse hair for the mane, tail and lower legs.
I don't know anything about the availability of horse hair ,but perhaps even discarded violin bow hair might work.
