Workbench

10 months and 2 attempts and it's done. It was a humbling experience. Cutting MT joints or flattening top, all seemed so simple in text. Well they are not so simple when you do it for the first time.

Workbench is 62" x 24", the largest I could fit in the room, while having access from both sides.
  1. Overall. My room is small. This photo is taken while standing as far as I could.
  2. Top with inset vise. Overhand is less than 12". This vise seemed as the best fit for tail vise.
  3. Split top. Each side is 62" long, ~4" thick and 11" wide.
  4. Bottom shelf. Shiplap boards from leftover wood.
  5. Leg Vise. Started with Lee Valley screw and linear bearings. Did not work out well. Bought bench crafted classic Leg Vise. It worked like a charm.
