    Vega Fence

My brother in law is asking me about a Vega fence for his delta contractor saw. I do not know anything about this fence looking for some opinions, yea or nea?
    Thanks,

    Thumbs up

Yea....it's a great fence, a great value, and has a great micro adjust that actually works. I've got a General Biese that I like alot, and also have a Vega on an old CS I'm fixing up...it's a nice fence with a body similar to the Biese's. Amazon currently has the 50" version on sale for the same price as the 26".....$229 free s/h.

FWIW, Wood Mag gave it a Best Buy last year during a comparison that featured the Mule Cab, commercial Biese, SF Classic, Excaliber, Incra, General Biese, and Craftsman AlignaRip.

I have one and have no complaints. The microadjust works fine and I like the rear hold down as I use Board Buddies.

I've used one for the past 3 years. Best equipment upgrade I've ever done!!!

Very accurate and holds tight and light too boot.

    Vega Fence

It is an excellent fence. I got it direct from Vega for about the same price as Amazon. I have it on my Rigid 3612. I did have to do some cutting away of the back rail and the guard/splitter assembly so that I could tilt the blade all the way to 45 degrees. I used grinding wheels on my Dremel and also an angle grinder to do the job. Fifteen minutes ago my new Jet Xacta saw was delivered, so if anybody within 50 miles of Boston wants a 3612 with an already modified 50" Vega fence, it's available.

I used one on a coworker's Grizzly cabinet saw in Denver and was very impressed with it. Nice fence system and good price point, too. The innovative stop system is also kewel!
