I think if I could only have 1 wood to turn, this would be it. My shop still has a sweet, cinnamony smell. 6 1/2" diameter by 4 1/2" tall, buffed Antique oil finish.
A shot of the other side with flash, just for fun.

Great piece Travis. Form and finish are spot on. Glad to see the last pic as I knew there had to be more than one opening

Travis,
I continue to be amazed by the work you do. Very nice piece. As someone that is a long way from turning something that someone would actually purchase, I was wondering. Do the holes in the side add to the value of the piece? Does it make it easier to sell as it has a little more individuality? I find them interesting but like the other side as well.
Beautiful..

Travis, once again you give something to strive for. Is that crepe myrtle or something else? Thanks.

Travis, I could not agree more on the wood, makes me wish I had some. Wonderful wood, beautifully displayed.

That is a fine turning... and the last picture is very impressive, letting us see inside the piece thru the opening and the voids. That inside looks clean and smooth. Very impressive!

You've done it again Travis. Everything about this piece is on the money. You are really top notch my friend.
