    Delta Homecraft 10" band saw

This cute little band saw is on Craigslist locally - anyone here have an opinion on it?

They were made in the early '70s as far as I know.
    Looks like a clamshell construction.
Just interested to know more about this saw.

    thanks, Mark

I have an older version It is excellent for light duty tasks. Expecting too much from it is disappointing.

Tiny hard to adjust guides; flimsy tension and tracking mechanism; sleeve bearings; hard pass.

Hard to see but my 28-100 (the saw you pictured) is 2nd from right in pic though. The 28-110 (left) is much better, the 768 (upper right) is the one to have though if you want a 10" Delta band saw.

John, that’s such a wonderful collection of band saws. Congratulations and well done on keeping them around.
Maurice, thanks. I don’t need the stress of training and caring for tiny workers. I bet they eat more than we think.
