    Paul,
Good to see you on the Creek!!

    Keith,
I should probably think about a new tractor first........or maybe a new car for the wife.......

it took me a good year to get over the addiction of watching the little head running around in circles, arc's, pocketing, profiling and drilling, all the while thinking i had accomplished something!!

now i can pretty much let it do its job!

    Hi jim,
The two men are also bigger as compared to the men standing near the machine...

    Phoo!

I've been running this KOMO VR510 off and on for the past 7 years, and I'm still fascinated by it...

Now I want one in my shop at home...

Congratulations on the jealousy provoking machine Keith!

    Hey Jim,

It was a virtual shove which is like a race track rub, within the rules

    Gene,

Well, it isn't an antique but its over six years old now. It's the original PRT Alpha that ShopBot built with the steel C channel rails. I bought this machine when they were first announced and were new model discounts.

For some reason this ShopBot is one of those rare machines that is absolutely pristine. It is so smooth and quiet operating even after six years. The ShopBot I run at CNU is basically the same machine but it has the newer aluminum X rails and it is not near as smooth, quiet or as sturdy as my original PRT Alpha.

I was looking very seriously at the Laguna swift model cnc machine but had a very hard time finding any reviews or testimonials. Trying to research that machine is how I found this website and have now read all about the stinger II, and congrats by the way! The stinger II sounds like a much better machine for several reasons.
