HVLP Pressure Pot Question

I am just not happy with the balance and feel of my C.A Technologies HVLP fun with attached 1 qt. cup. I want to try a 2 qt pressure pot.

Is the quality of the 2 qt pot an issue? Is this something to invest $300 on or will a HF or auction site low proced pot do just as well? What are the important points to consider here?
