** SOLD OUT ** 2-pack Noise Isolating Ear Buds - $20

** EDIT ** ITEM IS NOW SOLD OUT **

For $20 ($15 + $5 shipping) you can get 2 sets of noise isolating ear buds. These function as hearing protection and as in-ear headphones for the music device of your choice. (Blockade Noise Isolating Earbuds - 2 Pack) I bought a set of these on sale at Home Depot a few months ago and I have been very happy with them. I use them all the time when I am doing yard work or running machines in the shop. They have an inline volume control which is convenient.

Check it out at...
http://www.woot.com

Deals at woot only last until the item sells out or until midnight, whichever comes first. Also, you can order up to 3 of the same item and the shipping cost is the same, so you could get six pairs of these things for $50 total. Could be a good group deal if you live near some other Creekers.

Thanks for the heads up! I have used the Etymotic E6i for years (@ $70+ a pair) and love their sound isolating properties. The earpieces look indentical to these, therefore, I ordered three sets and hope that they fit as well as the Etymotics.

I have a pair of these that I use for yard work. Fidelity-wise, they will not be as good as higher-priced buds like Etymotic, but they still sound pretty decent and are excellent for the shop or yard where there is a higher risk of breakage or soiling. The pair I bought were $35, this offer is an absolute steal.

I bought some too. Thanks. Now I just may have to figure out how to use an Ipod. Nothing like a $15 investment to inspire a $200 expenditure.

Don't do it! I have never used an I-pod so maybe I am no good judge, but any MP3 player will work essentially the same. I use the SANSA Clip, 4 GB. It sells at Best Buy for $50 and holds a ~1000 songs.

I bought two last Black Friday for $35 each.

I was given a pair of the E-A-R branded ones by a sales rep late last year. I loved how well they isolated as well as the built-in volume limiter. I just bought a pair to have a backup and to give a pair to a friend. They were perfect when working at the lathe with the temporary (ShopVac) dust collection running next to me.

They are also a perfect excuse for, "Sorry honey, I didn't hear you - I'm using safety gear and they work really well!"

LOL! I use this excuse all the time. If SWMBO is in an especially naggy mood, I put my Etymotics in. Then I look at her and say, "I can see you are talkin', 'cause your lips are flappin', but I do not hear."

Caution, I get away with this manuver but YMMV!
