Here's another project in an attempt to use up some of the Walnut scraps in the lumber rack. It's kind of strange construction in that carcass is composed of four frame and panel sections glued together – no corner posts like you see more typically. The bottom skirt is dovetail at the corners and joined to front/side styles via half lap joints. Simple but solid. I like the breadboard and construction for the top, but should've splurged by some wider stock for more symmetrical/uniform pattern on the top. I was able to re-sawn and book matched thinner stock for carcass panels. Spanish Cedar bottoms smells like a good cigar. I made a simple top stay from eyebolts and paracord. I kinda like it, but my wife thinks it's cheesy.
