    Delta 50-760 Too Tall?

I am considering a purchase of the Delta 50-760 but I see that it is 83 inches tall. This is for my unfinished basement shop which unfortunately does not have that ceiling height except for between the joist bays.

How big around is the bag itself? And will it just contort to the space available? the bottom of the joist is at about 80 inches.

    Feedback appreciated.

    Thanks.

I have this one. It'll contort. The bag is a little wider than the joist bay, but it'll be fine.
    I love this machine.

You can always upgrade to aftermarket filters, too...American Fabric Filter, for example, can make your top bag wider, rather than taller, and high quality bags don't inflate, anyway.

You can also upgrade to a cartridge filter which looks like its not so tall.

Eric - I think you'll be OK. The worst part is the rod that helps hold the bag up, but so far I've noticed that it will flex enough when it encounters an "obstruction".
I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger....then it hit me.

I too ran into this issue. I opted for the Jet DC1100C due to a great price i found and that it came with the canister. Definately reduces height and helps with performance. Just my .02...
