I want to build a Big Foot saw. I see a lot of 13 amp Skil wormdrive saws, will it be way under powered compared to a 15 amp? I want a made in USA motor or else I'd buy a new one.

I see that the Bosh 1677M is similar USA made with 15 amps, and fits the Big Foot kit, I think that's the way to go.

I doubt you could tell any difference between a 13a skilsaw and a 15a one. I have several & didn't know there were two amp ratings.

The worm drive Skilsaws .are beasts. Mine are 50 years old and still rock.
