    Opening a Jar of Paint

    Why keep paint in a pickle jar you may wonder.

    The jar can be hard to open. Here are a couple of tricks. (BTW this is also useful for pickles)

    The purple heart saddle has sandpaper on the surface and the vise has leather jaws.

    The used sanding disk grips the lid.

    The box below mitigates the risk.

    Still looks scary, maybe a plastic bag would help.

    I picked up a couple of cheap (Temu) strap wrenches I use for jars.

    bought a battery powered jar opener from Amazon, no grip any more, arthritis in hands and loss of strength, not easy getting old.
    Wife made fun of me, now she uses it more than me
