Walnut Speaker Grille

My son wanted a "dorm room sized" turntable cabinet that was just big enough for the turntable itself to sit on top, a top shelf to hold a speaker and a bottom shelf to hold a stack of records. I thought a grille to hide the speaker, power strip and cords would be a cool idea. I ended up making this a double sided job where the front had the circles/grilles and chamfers and the back side was a 1/4" perimeter rabbet to give a recessed fit with just enough room for the cloth to wrap tightly. I didn't snap a photo of the finished project, where I also milled some custom legs, but overall it came out great!

Thanks! Yea it's kind of crazy how my two kids (one in grad school and one a senior in high school) both are into vinyl like their parents.
