    Minimax S45 Bandsaw $500obo

Older model Minimax S45 bandsaw for sale. $500 obo

I bought this few years ago, but other than running to test it, I have not used it at all. It appears to be in good working condition.

I installed a Laguna mobility kit which works pretty well on the saw.

It is tucked into the corner on my garage right now, but let me know if you like a few more detailed pictures.

If I were closer I’d buy for the color alone!

S45 owner since 2003 here. You might check prices--$500 is an awfully good price for a saw in good condition.

I just sold a green S45 for $900 that I used for the past 7 years (bought used back then). Wanted $875 but the guy was so happy to get it that he rounded up to $900. Never had a single issue with it and it was in great shape. Of course some very nice new blades went with it. I upgraded to a used Powermatic 20". Randy

If you were about halfway closer to Texas I'd probably be driving to get it. What is the resaw capability on that saw?

I have a green S45 and agree this is a excellent price assuming it's in good condition. The only complaint I had with mine was that the upper bearing guide is (was) larger than it needed to be and took up some of the resaw capacity. With my replacement bracket I get 11+ inches. I think it was maybe 9.5 stock

My S45 is circa 2003. My one complaint is that the slot for the miter gauge is 12mm instead of 3/4". It's also a bit close to the blade. I have to make the bar for any miter slot tool.
I'm pretty sure they changed this in later models.

    Hi All
Thanks for all the comments. The saw does appear to be in good condition and runs very smooth.

I have added a few pictures that I took last weekend.

I bought a 12mm bar (if its 12mm - don't remember from 7-8 years ago) from McMaster car and drilled and tapped to make my miter gauge. Then added a Delta miter gauge on top. No big deal. Randy

I took the cheap route and milled/filed down a 1/2" bar. I should learn to not be so cheap!
