    I would think if it were the saw, it would be consistently off by a specific amount over a specific distance, no? Like, out by 1/8" over 3'.

    A) that would be a strange scenario
    B) you can just do the math on a calculator real quick to get you close to what you want to see on a fractional tape and verify it w/ the X measurements.
    C) As said above, you can also just measure two parallel sides and if they are good AND your X measurement is good, then life is good.
